Modes of Reaction:
Phosphatidylcholine has the ability to alter the cholesterol and other fatty acids. It increases the solubility of fat and its deposits. This phosphatidylcholine penetrates skin layer and emulsifies the fat underneath, making them more soluble to water.

Evidence:
The only large trial that we could find was the study mentioned above involving 213 patients, published in the Journal of Drugs and Dermatology in October 2003.Volunteers received phosphatidylcholine injections in several different areas of localized fat deposits, (thighs, hips, abdomen, flanks and/or the chin region of the face). The patients were submitted to 1 to 5 treatment sessions with an average interval of 15 days between each session. At each treatment session, digital photographs were taken of the patient's front view, back view, and profile, according to the area to be treated. In some patients the thickness of the fatty pad was measured with a specific ruler. Various laboratory tests were also carried out on the volunteers during the treatment with phosphatidylcholine. Clinical results showed that phosphatidylcholine was effective in reducing the fatty pads in the treated areas, with few side effects. From the authors' point of view, they stated that the off-label use of phosphatidylcholine in the treatment of fatty pads and small areas of localized fat is safe, low cost, and effective. They also stated that, as with any other medications, it needs wide investigation for new treatment uses and long-term studies, so that the recommended dose and safe application technique can be standardized.

Carlene Slimming Mesotherapy
Carlene Slimming Mesotherapy
What is Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is discovered in 1952 by Dr. Michel Pistor. Mesotherapy is an esthetic medical procedure that is a revolutionary alternative to liposuction, plastic surgery, endermologie and other invasive cosmetic products that claims to reduce fat. Mesotherapy is a non-surgical technique to remove the fat and targets the cellulite in the body where often found around the mesoderm where the fat deposits reside. This therapy has been successfully used in treatments for cellulite reduction, weight loss, face and neck rejuvenation and body sculpting.
How is Mesotherapy done?
Mesotherapy is a non-surgical, non-invasive method that involves a customized mixture including amino acids, vitamins, and medications placed just millimeters under the skin into the problematic area where the fat resides. It is reported to break down the cellulite and improve the circulation of blood and lymph fluid through the area. This process ‘melts’ the fat and allows it to be carried away and excreted from the body. Regular exercise and a balanced died is recommended for better result during and after the Mesotherapy treatment.
The benefits of Mesotherapy includes:
- Melting the fat away at specific area of body
- Reduction of cellulite
- Body sculpting where it helps to contour various parts of body
- Weight loss where the fat cell is modified by blocking the signals of fat accumulation and simultaneously trigger the release of stored fat
What are the benefits of Mesotherapy to you?
Mesotherapy is more on losing inches rather than losing large amount of weight. Mesotherapy shows improvement in skin quality, less irregular skin and weight reduction where downsizing could be of one or two clothing sizes. Mesotherapy treatment is an instantaneous medication that results could be seen as quickly as in the next 1-2 weeks, depending on the individual’s condition (type of fat, size of patient and location of treatment). To maximize the effects of the treatment, it is advisable to exercise regularly and consume healthy food and sufficient water. The Mesotherapy procedure generally takes 30 minutes and requires no preparation or recovery time. It is commonly called a ‘Lunch Time Treatment’.
How long do the benefits of Mesotherapy last?
Treatment areas will remain free of unwanted fat as long as the patient maintains a healthy diet and exercise. Cellulite treatments might need maintenance on a six months to one year basis.
Composition of Mesotherapy:
Caffeine
Sodium Sulphite
Lidocain
Procaine Hydrochloride
Acid Furmicicum
Nicotinate of Monoethanotamine
Zink
Trisitanol Monoethyl
Side effects of Mesotherapy:
Mesotherapy is like any other treatments, it would normally produce eryternatose redness and slight purple marks which tends to disappear within a few days. After treatment, symptoms such as dizzy or nauseous would occur but will fade after 20-30 minutes.
Precautions:
Mesotherapy is not suitable for individual suffering from heart ailment, high blood pressure, gastritis, kidney and liver ailments or during pregnancy and lactation. A medical check up should be conducted before the treatment of Mesotherapy. If symptoms persist, you are advice to discontinue treatment immediately.
